On Monday, a man was condemned to 20 years’ detainment in the Mpumalanga Division of the High Court for the homicide of his girlfriend.
36-year old Abdul Samson Malambe conceded and was indicted for the homicide if Zanele Jeanet Mnisi.
“On 18 January 2017, Mnisi went to visit Malambe at his parental home. Later at night, they rested in his room, which is arranged external the fundamental house,” Mpumalanga local National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) representative Monica Nyuswa said in an announcement on Monday.
“At the point when they got into the room, Mnisi’s telephone rang and Malambe perceived the number from a past event, which prompted a contention,” she included.
During the contention, Malambe hit her with a broomstick a few times.
He ran away when he saw his girlfriend stopped breathing and left her dead body in his room. He got captured the following day.
Senior State advocate Derrick Mashego made it known to the court that abusive behavior at home is a threat against ladies and must not be taken with levity hands.
“He said it must be condemned and must be seriously rebuffed. He included that barely a day goes without a report in the media of a lady being beaten, assaulted or even killed in this nation,” said Nyuswa.
“Numerous ladies live in steady dread for their lives. This is, in some regard, a refutation of a large number of their central rights, for example, correspondence, human nobility, and real trustworthiness. In this way, individuals like Malambe must be eliminated from the general public.”
The appointed authority said the pace of femicide was getting excessively and a lady is killed like clockwork.
